Michigan Proficiency Exams

I've added some pages and included links to test centers from around the world. Many people have been writing me asking for test center locations and I thought this would be the easiest way to do it.

Also included is information about the ALCE test. What's the ALCE? Good question. If you want to learn more about it you can visit the new page on the site devoted to it by clicking on the previous link.

The Michigan ALCE exam is unique and may not be for everyone so be sure to see if it covers the need you have before taking it.

I've also included information about the Hellenic American Union which oversees and administers the Michigan Proficiency ECPE exam here in Greece.

I added a couple more pages today specifically dealing with the prefixes and suffixes pages. Some minor changes were also made to a couple of other pages.

I'll be adding some more material and making a couple of revisions to the pages soon.

Good news.

Updated pages for the writing section of the exams. Check out the new pages from links on this page.

The site now includes information for descriptive, cause and effect, argumentative, process, definition, persuasive plus compare and contrast essays.

I'm currently working on the prelimenary tests and should have 25 preliminary practice tests available from the site within the next month.

Finally! I've got the ECPE practice tests on the site. They are ready to be downloaded.

I made major changes to the exam pages of MELAB, MELICET, MTELP and ECPE.

Also, I made some changes to other pages that will be of benefit to students using my site for their exam preparation. The first part of the automated vocabulary course will be ready soon.

I've added a valuable link to the education links page. It's an ESL/EFL listening resource page with many valuable, free exercises.

There are exercises all the way to the proficiency level of the language and many are quite useful and similar to the Michigan Proficiency Exams.

Good News!

The Michigan-ECPE final tests will be on the site very, very, soon. For those of you who've been patiently waiting I'm sure you'll find them worth the wait.

Also, I changed and updated the the suffix-list page.

I'm working on the preliminary tests right now and should have them on the site by the end of August.

Michigan Proficiency Exams

A new page was added today. Use of preposition is the title. It contains a chart with proper and improper preposition usage.

Typical errors at the proficiency level of the englsih language include making mistakes with prepositions.

This use of preposition page is meant to help clarify the difference between right and worng preposition usage.
